The Americas and the Reformation
An exhibition by Frédéric LERE that traces the historical context behind the Huguenot exodus to the Americas, as well as the legacy of this exile. Until 15 June, Tuesday to Sunday, 2pm to 5pm, at the Museum of Protestantism (81360 FONTRIEU).
Butterflies, parpalhols
An exhibition of works by Didier Cros, an artist from the Tarn region, exploring the theme of nature and butterflies in particular – a nod to the term ‘parpaillot’, which was once used ironically to refer to Huguenots. From 26 June to 1 November 2026 at the Museum of Protestantism, the Reformation and Secularism (81260 Fontrieu).

The Legacy of Huguenots in New York
Following the Wars of Religion in the second half of the 16th century, Protestants from the kingdom of France, then known as Huguenots, fled persecution and found refuge abroad, particularly in North America. In New York, their influence was significant, and the city retains important traces of this immigration.
